no the game doe neither support multiple monitors, nor monitors with other than some standard resolutions. Maximum is 1920x1080.
You can run the game in a window on one monitor. In fullscreen, the game is streched out on all three monitors, and the UI is unresponsive.
Kinda lame to support Oculus but being unable to detect and use screen resolutions from attached monitors
Yes, the game is early access, but the screen resolution is something basic, one of the few things that just need to work very early. Imho even before adding Oculus support.
Hopefully the devs add support for that down the road.
why the hell do you need triple monitors?
I mean tell me the purpose or benefits.
1 monitor a game
1 monitor a movie
1 monitor a chat or so
graphics card in sli mode i can understand.
For gaming, it increases the field of view in which you are viewing the game. As a result, you see more of the game in your peripheral vision and it makes for a more immersive experience. It's the next best thing to full VR.
For regular windows usage, a lot of applications can use more than one monitor. I do it all the time with music software, Photoshop, Visual Studio, etc. It makes things much easier to use with more screen real estate available.
Thats kinda cool i think.
So i wish now that i never asked though haha
But yes, it comes with a very high graphics load, so a good graphics card or SLI is recommended. I'm going with both, running two Titans in SLI.
From what i've seen yet, this game looks fantastic
Oh, and yes, for some games, I really have a browser open on one monitor while playing in the middle. Like now.
though i hope not 2 titan x
its a pain for someone's wallet haha
I don't know how anyone can stand to only have one monitor anymore, it's like trying to drive a car with your head in a box with a tiny window in the front. Would you fly an airplane if you could only see out of a single 24" window? Using a triple montior setup is like going from a single porthole to an airplane cockpit panorama, you can see so much more and you feel so much more immersed. In Doom 4 on a 5760x1080 setup the guns are nearly lifesized, instead of just 4" in the middle of the screen. And as for regular computing, why don't you settle for a 13" 640x480 monitor? Because screen real estate matters, and having more of it allows you to actually have all your tools and windows visable at once, and still be able to access items on your desktop or in other programs.
All that said, I can't currently play this game because it's stuck in 5760x1080 mode and I can't even see the options dialogue to try to change it back. Why would you make a game this good looking if you don't allow people to play it on large screens? FIX YOUR INTERFACE DEVS!!!
Don't be a dumbass, most people can recognize near or above 200 degrees, humans are evolved to excell in a panoramic landscape. Your eyes do in fact register a 'panoramic' landscape even if most of it in not in focus.
It's like wearing glasses.
