Disable the diving mask HUD graphics?

I get the attempt for immersion, but for me personally, it restricts what I can see of the game world, and makes my view feel boxed in.

Im also a diver in real life, and your eyes in real life learn to ignore the frame of the mask. A real diving mask sits at the edge of your peripheral vision, where as your computer screen is set right smack dab in the middle of your primary view. Drawing the masks frame doesnt end up in your eyes peripheral view range, so its not something your brain learns to tune out. Its always there plain as day, blocking the view of the beautiful underwater world graphics.

An option to disable it would be nice, but no rush

I manage to ignore it just fine, and i'm even playing it with a smaller window, making it even more in the center of my view.

In the era that the game takes place I think we should be able to create some sort of goggle contact lens.

Vectura I want to thank you. Being able to disable the mask saved the game for me. It was so annoying I was about to quit.
