Thank Gandalf Jacksepticeye boosted the sales.
This game really had no means to get noticed, but now it's quite high on the top sellers list. Now the devs have a greater financial incentive too make the game more amazing.

That's great^^ Interestingly enough, none of my friends ever heard of this fantastic Alpha. When i started to explain it a little bit, they got hooked instantly. This needs more publicity^^

This hit a spike when FrankieonPC did an initial review as well... That was when I first bought it. Youtube is how most start up games get their publicity these days.

The problem with Jacksepticeye is that while his videos are amusing, sometimes I want to reach through my monitor and smack him silly for acting like an idiot. He goes in completely cold and has no clue what he's doing. As a result he sits there, getting himself killed, or worse speculating about stuff and giving people the wrong impression about the game.

I like his videos, they are amusing and refreshing from the standard "here's how to play" fare, but at the same time when he plays something I've played, it's easy to see him go off in odd directions that make no sense at all. Granted EA games like Subnautica aren't exactly bristling with instructions, but it would help if he at least played the game through a time or two before making his video.

I'm not saying I like his videos per say, while I do find some of it amusing. He just has the largest fanbase of all the youtubers who have played this.

Paulsoaresjr showed me this game. He's a bit of a smaller youtuber, but he's awesome all the same.

To whom it would help exactly?
You are missing the point. Jack keeps saying that he plays games for fun. How can you give wrong impression by that?
