how do you open console

you just press f3 and f8 at the same time. then at the top of that console menu you make sure the disable console is off. and then press (ENTER) or (MIDDLEMOUSEBUTTON). hope it helped

The way I do this...
Hit F3. Then F8 (allows your mouse to click options on the F3 menu.
I click the Disable Console dot. Then I hit Enter and I can type in the command I want. I keep the Disable Console disabled and close F3, so I can continue using other command with the F3 menu on the screen. Just hit ENTER when you want to type a command and hit ENTER after you finish typing it. Many have posted a list of commands on this site and and the wiki site. Sometimes a command they give is wrong or changed with an update.

I've done all this and have entered commands but upon pressing enter to submit the command it just closes the command window. What am I doing wrong?

Hey thanks man, been tryin to figure this out, none of the sites, videos mentioned holding down M1. Sent ya some steam gift thing, for some reason my steam site is in french, probably from the search results from google, anyways, thanks.
