Aurora without damage after saving game
Hello all, playing on experimental.
After the Aurora explosion + a Save and restart of the game she is intacte.
Anybody else ? Or your saved games are fine ( and can resume your exploration of it ).
Thanks for your replies.

Nope, haven't seen the Aurora restored after a save. I have found it totally invisable though. Check out my video.

Loading up an old save, after the latest patch, I got a count down to destruction, then some fire effects on the Aurora, but it never exploded. It did flood the WHOLE map with radiation, though.

I would find it btw great if the radiation soundeffect would get disabled when wearing the suit. It's pretty annoying as it's now played everywhere and all the time

Mine exploded after maybe 10 - 15 mins i would guess. Maybe it triggers when you get near it, at least for me it exploded about a minute or 2 after going near it. Just awesome when you stand on an island beneath it and the explosions shockwave reaches you ;)

it is it is. and it explodes on the second day, around noon. i put on the day cheat, so i could see it in full light, but it needs the regular passage of time and a certain amount of time to cause the triggers. i have tested this fact 3 times for both, with same results each time. but thanks anyways! appreciated...

The way it is intended to be implemented, and has been implemented to my knowledge, is that the ship explodes after a random amount of time. We don't want it playing out the same way for every player and for every playthrough.

guess i got lucky with my three times, thanks for letting us know though! its nice to see the devs actively participating in the discussion. I had a huge post on here of the stuff id like to see; its probably near the back now. its a great game, keep it up!

If anyone is interested, i found a "little fix" when restarting your game and the Aurora is back to be intact.
I use the console commmand : EXPLODESHIP
And voila she is back in pieces ! Exploration can resume ;).

Yup, can confirm. Every time I reload a save, the Aurora is intact. And the explosion audio plays every single reload (which is annoying), but the ship never actually explodes, so to explore the ship, I have to trigger it myself with the console command.
