It can work from anywhere in your inventory, you don't have to be holding it or anything, it's like the fins and tanks that way.
It doesn't give you infinite oxygen, or even extend your oxygen duration by all that much. What it does is cancel out depth effects that make you use up oxygen more quickly. So with the rebreather, you use your oxygen at the same rate regardless of depth, whereas normally you breathe more air if you are deeper.
This means it has little to no effect when in shallow water, but can make a pretty big difference if you are way down in the depths.
hence to add a longer dive time to the said diver.and to have less effect on nitrogen production in the said diver's blood stream their in fourth adding even more time to the diver's overall bottom time .
i have used the rebreather in shallow and deep water.but i can notice no difference at all between the both .
Yeah, I think most everyone reading this understands what a rebreather is in real life. I thought you were asking what it was supposed to do IN THE GAME, as a game item is not always a direct simulation of a real-life object.
Hmph, interesting. Which build are you on? 15015 or the experimental branch? I'm on 15015 right now but was planning on switching to experimental in a couple hours, so either way I can test and let you know if it is working for me.
ah! thanks ! :)
It does not seem to work at this moment in the release branch.
Though visually, breathing does appear to be calmer.. it just doesn't affect survivability at all.
ya im not expecting it to be real to life. am in the 15015 build. but if their going to use the word rebreather it should have some simular features of the iteam their stating it being.IMHO.
as for it ingame rite now it doesnt perform in any capacity. which is to bad becuase to carry 3 tanks takes up half your storage space and i find that crazy.they just need to retink how they want the rebreather to be used?
Thanks for saving me the time. ;) Yeah ok, I guess it's broken. I do feel like it was working to some extent in a previous experimental build, but I guess it could have been imagined, as I didn't pull out a stop watch back then.
just takes up inventory space
