Endless Hallways? Or Possible rooms?
Is it possible to make rooms or is it just endless hallways? If it is simply endless hallways will there be an option for rooms? The basebuilding is a fun idea but, iw ould love to build actual rooms for my fabricator and stuff...

They first designed these cubical rooms, then people didn't like the appearance, so they switched to the rounder hallway shapes, and they haven't done bigger rooms again yet. I'm sure they will add them at some point.

There will no doubt be bigger rooms, possibly with set functionality, who knows!

It would be nice if you could dig into the side of a rockface and attatch a tunnel base to that though to make the interior of the 'cave' a base.

My Panda just built a base on the island and ran into the rocks and just said the same thing Lol

I'm hoping to see a moon pool room with a glass dome top for viewing. Being able to connect the existing halls to a main room would be nice for a science DNA lab when they roll that part out.

We do plan on adding rooms. We'll probably start prototyping something soon for that.

Yay rooms ! A Seamoth hangar and maybe even a cycops docking part would be cool to have. I had so much fun building a seabase, that I wouldn't mind if there were also rooms coming, that only make the base look nice. Empty rooms and some furniture and stuff like that. Maybe I am not the only one who likes to have a base, that is practical but also feels nice to walk through.

I'm up for them to allow us to rotate the tubes as well on all axis. Weird you can only rotate one way.

Once the base building is basically sound, they will need to add furniture and other homey touches.

Rooms are in experimental now. Hopefully they'll be released to the normal version this week. If you want to subscribe to experimental check the guide in the Development Updates pinned thread.

Thanks! i really was sad when i wanted to make an underwater city- but didnt have any rooms to make it! btw, my underwater city may break very easily without a repair tool, do you know any console commands that disable structures breaking?
