How to recharge seamoth?
My seamoth is out of power (like completely, 0%) and won't move. I can't recharge it with batteries like with the seaglide, and since it is completely immoble I can't dock it with a cyclops (which I haven't finished building yet anyway). Is there any way to salvage it or is it just build-a-new-seamoth time?

Are you playing the basic newly released 10 or are you playing experimental? if you're playing experimental you can craft a power cell and change it out. Otherwise no go, there is a workaround though, save your game, quit game, start game up again and load your saved game which will put the charge back up to 100%.
Or, dock the Sea Moth with the Cyclops.
he can't dock it with a cyclops lol he can't make it yet xD
You just make a battery and have it on you, then you will the the (R) and reload option. Press R on the keyboard and it will put the new battery into the seamoth and all done. I am not playing experimental BTW.
Thanks all for replies. Save/Quit/Start/Reload put me back at 100% power, which is cheaty but good enough. :)

Just as an FYI -- I am playing the release build (not experimental) and had two batteries in my inventory, the 'R' key did nothing for me.
release build they haven't put a way in to recharge the seamoth except with the cyclops. As I said in my other post in experimental they've have added the ability to exchange power cells.

Also in experimental they've doubled the seamoths power charge.

Nice, hope the seaglide got the same treatment. :)

I'm close to finishing my play with the release branch and then I'll be back in experimentals 'till the next release. :)
sadly the seaglide didn't get the same treatment.
you need power cells to recharge the seamoth
well, power cell or battery doesn't anything for me with seamoth. R do nothing. 0% energy and I must save, exit the game, and come in game. that's the only way I have since I don't have the cyclop yet.
In the current experimental build you need a "Power Cell" for the seamoth, and you left-click on the empty Power Cell to replace it (I assume the new power cell would need to be in your inventory for this).

According to a newer version, build 16296 April 15, normal batteries don't fit. You will need 1 Power Cell instead. (2x Batteries + 1x Silicone = 1x Power Cell). On the wiki page for Subnautica, it states that you have to put in the Power Cell on the back of the Seamoth, which I had a hard time to believe since I looked at it's back and nothing showed up, until I found out that it was actually below the Seamoth, just infront of the propeller.

The Seamoth can currently drive about 10.300 meters on a full 100% charge, (103m/1%).

Wow thanks guys! I was having the same problem!
hey question plz awnster anyone is there a console command to set the safe depths for the cyclops
If you look at the back of your seamoth, there's a powercell there. Craft a powercell and keep it in your inventory than swim to your seamoth and just click on the powercell on the back.
