Is it possible to have multiple saves for the same game session?
I only have one save option. I can only overwrite my current save.

Is there a way to load a previous save?

Or is there a way to save multiple saves for the same game session?

There is a mod that lets you configure a number of auto-saves for each game at timed intervals. Obviously the more saves you configure the more space you will need. Configure 3 for instance and they get overwritten in sequence. So there will be three versions of the game at three different times. Plus the original.

Configuration Manager is recommended for ease of configuration but it can be done manually by editing a .cfg file.

No, you would have to back up saves manually. I think there are also mods that allow you to do that, but I am not sure as I never used them.

Its also Subnautica chances are you're not gonna need that many saves the game is pretty linear.
Unfortunately, this won't help you if an error occurs and you saved too late.

Unless you are playing hardcore, it's very unlikely to get unrecoverable errors. I don't think I heard of a problem with corrupted saves, unless you go out of your way to break the game somehow.
And for everything that happens in the game - it's recoverable. At most you would have to grind a bit more, but that's just game for you.
Sorry. I don't see the point of this discussion.

I asked if it's possible. It's not possible.

That answers the question.

Whether someone needs a feature or not should be left up to each individual. ;-)

That's perfect. Thank you very much bladerunner97.

It's always nice when someone finally answers your actual question.

Though, that being said, I LIKE the single-save save system. It's just hard-core enough for me.
Marking the right post as an answer.

When you write on a forum you should expect people to participate. Even if they don't properly answer your question they have the right to share their opinion about its subject.

I removed the off-topic.
