Game Freaks out and cant play?
So I decided to give the game a try after playing for a little some time ago. Now when I open the game it instantly hops into some kind of burning vessel, a hud keeps flickering non-stop on the right and something is being selected at the bottom left of my screen. My character will then start spinning in circles while jumping. I can look around with my mouse but it will keep trying to force the screen to look at the bottom left while spinning. I can't go to the menu, I cant open anything or move.

It appears you are inside the Lifepod during the initial intro cutscene (that's why it says "Skip" on the bottom right, as in "Skip the Cutscene), but for some reason you have console activated on the right and the cutscene doesn't play out properly.

Do you have any mods installed or otherwise attempted to modify the game? Try reinstalling from scratch.

Nothing, this is a new computer so I just installed it. Yea it goes through the cut screen, than my guy runs in circles jumping up and down, and keeps dying in the fire lol. No idea why it freaks out or is doing what it is doing.

It kinda sounds like you have some buttons stuck somewhere. Do you have any controllers plugged in? Try deactivating them or switching to a different one if you intend playing on a controller.

In fact: that "Skip" button seems to be prompting some controller button or another...
Its like the game THINKS you have a controller, and its stuck pressing all the buttons.
So yeah: try unplugging controllers, or check if you have any "virtual" controllers that your PC is trying to emulate or something.

Or maybe the game needs to be switched into KBM mode or something? But i don't think that's a thing.

Nah I have a controller but it is bluetooth and turned off. I even tried turning it on to see if that was the cause but nothing. I can look around with my mouse and what not but it goes back to default running in circles.

Only game doing this to me as well so I don't know what is going on lol. I guess ill have to investigate some more later. Possibly just remove the usb for the controller all together and see if that works later.

Yeah, the more i think about it the more it sounds like the game just doesn't like your controller, so completely unplugging it might work. Otherwise why would it prompt you with a controller button?

Yea unplugging it worked. I don't understand why the game was prompting the controller even thou it was turned off. Even when I turned it on it wouldn't let my controller do anything lol. That is so awkward, especially for it to drop that hud down constantly as well. Weird, controller works fine on other games. Oh well, mystery solved lol
