do you think the propulsion arm for the prawn suit is useless?
personally speaking i couldnt really find much use for it considering you cant pickup items and place them in the prawn suits inventory, would have been fairly handy for getting crystal sulfur in the lost river. if they ever update this game again (which i doubt) i wouldnt mind them trying to improve the propulsion arm.

Didn't find any that would convince me. It's still potentially harmful if it throws hostiles in random direction. There is even video on youtube showing how it may end if you shoot this, give me a break, torpedoes at ripper.

Also, how else are ya gonna fling Alien Feces at angry fish?
Ok, now I actually have a reason to finally build a propulsion arm. ^^

Fling some of your diamonds.

(I spent an afternoon knocking down River Raiders with Deep Schrooms once.) :steamfacepalm:

Ah yes, River Raiders. The least memorable Subnautica fish.

One thing I really like about the propulsion arm: Even though it's much stronger and bigger than the gun, it takes up much less inventory space :)

Wasn't the intended purpose to gather resources hidden behind rocks, originally? There's plenty in BZ, but I don't remeber having seen that in Subnautica.

You are RIGHT! Never clicked to that before. (Size.)

It is really great for snatching minerals off the walls in the LR, without having to either exit the Suit, or do the awkward jump-or-grapple'n'grab routine.
(Although it is very smart to learn the jump/grapple'n'grab technique, I think.)

You can also use it like you do the hand held one, to retrieve resources down in the mouths of lava vents...but with less superficial scalding & med-kits.

(Hmmm. I wonder how much damage a crate will do, if you fling it at a leviathan? Ah, crazy pet tricks.)

No mineral veins like in Below Zero, either the free form "grab" ones or the ones with 2 small blocks you had to Propulsion pull away.

But the Prop gun for Prawn or Ryley are both good for pulling resources out of the acidic brine of the Lost River.

In general it makes gathering resources easier. Instead of swiimming up to and breaking open/grabbing something, just point and click it into your inventory.

For Prawn Prop, pull objects next to you, turn, release Prop beam to drop in pile. Betta than nuffin!

Well normally no but if you have a pet crash fish laying around or just found one and something's chasing you I think you know where this is going.

I don't know if this still works, but in the past I've seen some propflying, if you've got two of them equiped and grab a couple of large deposits, aim them under your leggies and just keep on walking. if it does, can get a lovely areal view of the Aurora and travel above the sea to places, avoiding all the nasties.
