i am horrified of reapers and i can't get over it
i need to go to the crash zone to get into the aurora, but there are so many reapers hiding in the fog that i can't go there because i'm a wimp. can someone give me tips on how to get over my fear or safely get into the aurora without being mauled by reapers?
Edit: i do have a seamoth, before you ask.
Edit 2: I got into and out of the aurora and got all the PRAWN suit fragments! As well as keep calm kitty poster (because you need it)

Abuse the courage of saving! Get close, save your game, rush into danger. If you get eaten, you load the save like nothing bad happened.

You quit to main menu and load the manual save.

There are not that many reapers. Just go for it.
On my very first playthrough I did not even know that there were any reapers near Aurora because I went in, did my thing and left without seeing or encountering one.
On the side of the Aurora you'll be entering from, there is only one Reaper to worry about. Even then, if you go through that hole in the side of the wreck and head straight for that platform that dips into the water while staying at the surface, that jerk will almost never see you. I used to do that and it always works.

Lately I try to get the Cyclops first as somehow the damned thing is stealthier than a swimming human.

That worked the first time, but the reapers are camping that one spot now. I'm just trying to see if there is any more stuff to scan. (Fragments or other stuff for my seabase.)

It's impossible to have multiple reapers camping on that spot unless you used mods. There is a second reaper at the front of the ship, but he is too far away to camp near the side entrance. And the reaper that's there should leave to travel his path. You should be able to just swim in that hole on the side and the reaper will not follow you there.
There are mods, I have one that makes everything passive.

I kinda want that mod, but it removes the fun of surviving massive creatures.

Weird, I don't have any mods. Probably a glitch.

Then just point your moth at the hole, close your eyes and go for it. Once you are inside, the reaper will go away :)

I got in and out alive, but a reaper was too close to my seamoth for comfort.

He often clanks his teeth at my tail when I go out of there. But I don't remember him ever actually reaching me. Maybe one time when I didn't realize he followed me and actually stopped to collect something from a chest on my way back.
Save just before you leave your base, and head to the Aurora. You know there are reapers nearby, so approach carefully and avoid them.
And if by any chance you get wrecked by them, just reload and try again.

If you are too scared to explore by your own, an easy way to get there without troubles is approach the Aurora from the flank you can see from the lifepod, then head toward the bow without submerging too much. Near the bow there should be an opening in the hull that will allow you to access a kind of platform through which you can walk to an entrance.

You can do it without encountering any reaper.
I just go into creative, go in a Prawn suit and punch the ♥♥♥♥ outta one
