No cloud save
This game is amazing, but i just lost all of my progression due to there not being cloud save. I had to wipe my hard drive and expected my progress to still be there, because that has always been the case with my other games. I just assumed, which makes this my own fault. Still, i'm posting this to warn people, cheers.

Not true, i didn't know this. And other people don't know this, so this can still help some people at least.

People would probably be more pissed about their progress being reverted. Just back it up manually instead of having it done for you

Are you talking about cloud saving or auto-saving? Having cloud saves would not avoid progression loss if it still required manual saves. Was your hard drive damaged or something?

I'm talking about the fact that Steam stores your save file for certain games in the cloud, i had to wipe my hard drive. However, most of my saves are still there after reinstalling my games. I just assumed that every game has this nowadays

Sometimes the save is just far too big to be put into the cloud and called back realistically

moral of the story is never assume anything

just cause A B C game has X feature does not mean game D will also have that feature

treat every game as unique and dont expect any feature as you do NOT want to find out the hard way it lacks

now for a actual answer to your question instead of a philosophical one

the games save files are massive in size and as such impractical to store in the cloud
make manual backups if you want to be sure

good luck

Other platforms, even Nintendo, don't seem to have this issue. I'll still play it on PC with keyboard/mouse, but as someone with a home gaming desktop as well as a laptop, cloud saves is an area I really wish Steam would figure out.
