it is not Subnautica 2, how in the world can a seuqel be 1/6th of the 1st game ?
sequels are bigger than previous installments.
I am asking if developers hinted that they are doing Subnautica sequel ?
Like it or not, Below Zero is the sequel of Subnautica.
BZ is still being worked on, and the devs have not hinted at anything like your weird definition of sequel.
Even if they were secretly working on it, it would take at least 6 years or so.
UWE could also make a prequel where you play as the pre-cursor aliens, but not sure how interesting that would be.
nah i don't need to play same character, i mean sequel as a full on upgrade giant map maybe 10x larger than Subnautica with 10,000+ meter depths and way more exploration :D and just keep expanding sea biomes with DLC's
Like Euro Truck Simulator 2 they keep expanding map that's what i wish for Subnautica 2 after its release keep adding more sea worlds
I wouldn't like to see the quality of the map dropping in exchange for pure size.
procedural generation is very bad, maps look unnatural and ugly i had experience with no man sky.
Hand crafted maps i always prefer more. I hope next game will be bigger and designed in a way it can be expanded with DLC's and expansions.
That idea is stupid
idea is not stupid and it's proven many times in multitude of games (Euro Truck Simulator, Path of Exile, No Man's Sky, Minecraft, Warframe, etc...)
Maybe choose words like
"i don't like the idea"
you force your customers to purchase DLC for content
DLC should only be cosmetic and have zero functional impact or additions to the game
