Have you found the fragment for the blueprint yet? Check the Journal in the PDA, the moon pool entry will tell you whether you have the blueprint or not.

If you have the blueprint for it... you should be able to make it...

Unless you only have the fragment, which needs to be analyzed first before it unlocks the blueprint.

Don't have the fragment either? Go find it in the mushroom forest biome.

No, it's in grand reef.

Where in the grand reef?

DO search, okay? Expecting others to do your chores is... bad for you : )

Having said that, I've got to admit I haven't found the place yet, either. From what I gather, it is supposed to be S-SW part of the map. Searched in the said region far and wide - no luck.

Edit - Original Poster (OP): for my first moonpool, I used a console command to spawn a fragment and analysed that. The moonpool is SUCH a boon to the whole system, I can understand the reasons for it to be hard to obtain. It does clash with the idea of "all our previous base-building tech are belong to us" though. Can't possibly imagine how we have those records of habitats on our memory sticks... but not the moonpool info? Riiight.

There is a canyon in the Deep Grand Reef that spawns multiples of the Moon Pool and Thermal generator fragments (it's a bug). If you want to warp right to the canyon, the co-ordinates are -870 -437 -1386.
