cant click anything ;-; [SOLVED]

Hi im brand new to subnautica, literally 30 mins ago, got the game and having a small problem. to enable the console i hit f3 and try to turn off disable console by hitting esc and trying to click off dissable console, however i cant click it. it just disables esc mode and puts me back into the game without changing anything. Please help!! ;-;

First you hit F3, then alt-tab, then use right click on mouse to turn on or off things, well at least how I do it.

No need to Alt+Tab. F3, then F8 gives you control over the F3 options.
