Upgrade for ATI Radeon HD 5450
This game is saying my graphics card isn't "powerful enough" to give this game smooth frames, even at 1280x720. I'm using a 5 year-old HP Pavilion Elite desktop PC with an AMP Phenom II 945 Quad Core Processor, 8 gigs of RAM, and 1TB HDD.

What would be a good GPU to upgrade to (it must/should be something under $100 if anyone can find something like that) and, should I look into doubling my RAM?

Your RAM is okay, don't look for such cheapo graphic cards. Dont bother with anything under 300$

anything under a 100 bucks is just going to be a waste of money.

Let me specify by saying that I'm looking for clearance sales and the like which is why I said $100. I ain't got much money at this time.

No need to be a prig. I was advised by the developers to ask the community if they knew of what kind of GPU upgrade I should get. If the majority of the community is made of people like you, then that would make the Dark Souls community look tame in comparison. Almost.
Why would you do anything but google it.
And why have you not googled it yet.

Cmon guys, no need to be rude.

If you can afford it, the GeForce 750 and 750Ti is a great card for Subnautica, and uses very little power so you wont need to upgrade your PSU.

You can actually get the GeForce 750 for $94.99 from Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127788
