Go to kelp forest. Grab the seed clusters off of the vines. take two at a fabricator, and craft into lubricant. you're welcome.

Yeah - Several recipes in the fabricrator only appear if you have the materials required. Not particularly newbie friendly, unless you tell them to use the wiki :)

They'd have to remove all of the recipes - And give you an active scanning device to stand ANY chance of surviving.

They don't have to remove all recipes. Just the ones that are big. Then the player will want to explore and discover. Curiosity and all. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
