title says it all. I got too greedy.

Typically I find that is a prawn could get in somewhere, it can get out of there. It can just take a bit of time.
Where are you stuck and what options do you have?

I managed to get mine "stuck" in a very different manner and location. I took it for a stroll in the Primary Containment Facility, figuring "it has hands, and it can't possibly get an infection, so it should be able to turn off the device."

When I made it into that room, just before I could turn the corner to walk towards the control, it simply stopped dead in its tracks. Power was still at 89%, so it wasn't that. Thought perhaps it were just some weird bit of alien tech to keep mechs away, but that wasn't the case either - after getting out and back in a couple of times, I was able to walk around again.

Turns out the Prawn Suit can't activate the button with it's hands... so if you'd had this thought as well, I just saved you the trouble.

Also turns out, when going to leave and take my disappointment with me, the Prawn Suit stopped in pretty much the same spot again, and in the same manner - frozen mid-animation, had to get out and back in a few times before it would move again.

Then I discovered that, while it can go down the elevator just fine, it can't go back up - even with jets, so out the moon pool I went... and a whole new adventure began.

Another old, well documented glitch. A more "painful" one.
You are lucky you got it to move again, without having to use a grapple to pull yourself free, or a Repulsion cannon to knock yourself free. See my comment in your previous thread (before I read this.)

i was unlucky too. deep down at the main base i could not enter the bulding because of missing a key so i was exploring the building outside a bit. then there came the biggest enemy i ever saw and he hit me hard or something and then i was in the wall of the building...could not leave the suit or move....one hour of progress gone and i had to repeat it :) this time more carefully :)

There are console command procedures that might be able to recover you from that...but overall it might be easier to just do what you did and re-play from a 1-hour save.

If you had a grapple mounted, you might be able to pull yourself out.

Honestly I'd be pissed if I have to repeat a save. At the time, my last save was 2 hours ago. That 2 hours save had a lot of magnetite, diamonds, nickel, etc. But you're right, I was lucky at the time. I almost used the console command to get it out but you saved me. But unfortunately that "luck" didn't last long. Lo and behold, I got my cyclops stuck in lost river, what made this worse is, it's stuck on a small cave and I can only go down but I can't. So I decided to load back my old save and honestly it hurts, I rarely save and the last save at the time was again 2 hours ago and again a lot of resources were in my cyclops. Didn't use console cuz I felt guilty every time I use it. But it is funny read the people's comments here about their "prawn suit stuck" story.

Best advice I can give is: get in the habit of a quick save just before attempting anything "new", going into a questionable area, going into a known risky area, etc.

I copied all my save files so that I can stick save in one, experiment and then return to the other point if needed.

Having said that, I find that you can get down places by floating and then the jets aren't powerful enough to get you back up

I've just been learning PRAWN jumping myself, but it works well to alternate an upward gapple with the jets. If you can't find a ledge to stand on while you recharge, just keep holding the mouse button down on the grapple, and hang there while you recharge. Then release and hit the jets to get up the chimney a little further. As the jet boost begins to fade, shoot the grapple up to a new anchor point above you on a nearby wall. Rinse and repeat.

I carried a little lead and titanium down in the JSC with me. After I jumped up to the highest bit of near bottom ledge I could, I exited and swum up 50m and sideways 80m and found a spot to hang a platform from the wall. After I jumped up to the new platform, I did it again. From the second platform, I looked around and I found a ledge I could jump to above me. From there I found enough ledges and alcoves to get the rest of the way up the chimney with jet jumps. And going up and down that chimney is TERRIFIC PRAWN practice.

I was getting stuck inside alien ruins all the time, grappling arm always solved it.
