Yeah, I assumed how they were entirely different builds that certain stuff wouldnt be possible and they'd mosr likely have to recreate them from scratch.
Id still like some of the kitchen and bathroom stuff :/
How does that make little sense?
There are still numerous things that are exclusive on top of an entirely different story, location, and a plethora of other stuff.
If anything it makes more sense to send some of the basic things that are entirely cosmetic focus over to Subnatucia... their flagship that was reviewed higher and sold more copies... even for a 'stuff' pack DLC with a price tag.
You are acting like bringing in any of the stuff I mentioned some how devalues BZ so much that it no longer has a selling point to anyone.... I didn't realize that my minimal suggestions some how ruins the selling point of BZ. And if your complaint is you'd feel cheated if some of that stuff migrated to Subnautica because you paid for it... there are solutions to that.... devs can setup if BZ is detected in your library you get those additions free, otherwise you pay a small bit for a 'stuff' pack DLC which other developers have done in the past.
Either way, if someone argued "I paid for BZ and some of the cosmetic stuff being migrated over for free upsets me" then thats just being petty and entitled as, again, BZ offers such an insanely different direction and unique biomes that it is a really hard argument that you wasted money on BZ if some of that stuff transferred over, hell you should already be complaining then since the large room was migrated over.

We may hope that there will be a mod.
I'm really looking forward to have some FCS mods running, even though I guess they still need to be updated for V2.0.

I fail to see how basic cosmetic stuff like stove, toliet, shower etc etc should be for BZ only.
BZ is arguable a worse overall exprience with SN getting a lot more sales and praise.
Not really asking for SN to get everything from BZ just select cosmetic stuff.
Well, I wasnt exactly wanting either. The jukebox is nice which is why I mentioned it bit realistically I just want some of the other cosmetic pieces so we can make a kitchen or a bathroom.
Anything else would just be icing.
Ah fair enough. I wonder if these really have such advanced coding included. XD
But maybe a mod helps on that one too.
Just hoping that I can soon try out a few V2.0 compatible mods. :)
But foremost. They should port over some of the weather mechanics as well. Like thunderstorm. But replace the ice with rain. They said they unified their engine versions to make such easier. Thus why we got the large room.
Some of the other things don't make as much sense, since they don't exist in the SN1 world. There are no toilets, showers, or sinks anywhere in the SN1 world. Sure, they could add them to the Degassi bases somehow, which would be a good solution, but without that kind of work, it wouldn't make sense. The executive toy and the aromatherapy lamp similarly don't make any sense in SN1. Of all the trite and stupid things to make for the game, they chose these, and it works for putting them in a woman's quarters or in a gay exec's office in BZ. You'd have to find a place to introduce them into SN1, probably in the Aurora. But if all the lab equipment was damaged, why would we expect these toys to survive the crash? Same with the jukebox. I like this feature and would like to see something like this on the Cyclops, the amount of work necessary to do it properly would be enormous, especially for a 5 year old game.
As a matter of fact, thinking about it, maybe it's better that SN1 doesn't get these things. They're too comfortable in a game that's supposed to feel like a survival situation. You're not supposed to get too comfortable with showers, aromatherapy, music, etc. You're supposed to feel isolated and alone with minimal connection to the outside world.
Well, the common sense approach would be treating it like how the large room was added.
You scan a multipurpose room and you get the large room too.
So scan a desk and you get the executive desk. Scan a bed you get the other beds. Scan the coffe machine get a stove or sink. Scan vending machine etc etc.
Im not asking for the items to be pushed into the world and place, Im asking for a simply unlock of the parts. Hell they could come in defaulted at the start since a shower, sink, and toliet would be a standard building schematic realisticly if bulkhead doors, walls, and a basic aquarium is standard or are you going to try to argue that an aquarium blue print is some how more survival important than a stove, sink, toliet, or shower.
As for the whole feeling isolated. Why do we have all the other luxury stuff? A vending machine and a coffe machine destroy your point already on top of the toys, plush, posters etc etc.
Its kind of shocking at the gatekeeping thats happening here. Adding these items doesnt magically make the game any less immersive or less serious when we look at whats already in the game....
Skip the knock off and go for the original.
(I myself never used this mod)
As far as having comfort items in a survival game, we already have Arcade George plush toy, miniature Aurora, a toy Race Car, posters, and baseball caps.....
Those survived the crash. Just saying.
But there has to be a stopping point. There has to be a line we draw where "this is enough" We can't just port everything over from BZ. The devs will not do that. But there are some things that would seem to be reasonable. Let's try to reach that compromise where both parties are satisfied.
I mean, I've yet to try the game out since the update, but if they brought the BZ Air Bladder over that's gonna be the FINS.
Booster Tank would be nice.
