Why does spiky hair have to be a man? I have two friends with short spiky hair styles, one male, one female.
How big do the breast need to be to cast a significant enough shadow to be reconizable? How distinct do they need to make the more femine curves to be noticable in the character's shadow?
My guess they would need to overly exagerate these things to insure the shadow casted would be considered feminine.
I really do not think it would make much difference if they include an option to select gender when you never see your character except the hands.
I am not against adding the option since it seems all that would be required is adding a simple choice at the beginning of the game. The devs would not need to change anything else. Maybe long hair?
I am not against adding female characters in games, I encourage it since all forms of media play a role in influencing and guiding society. I just do not think it would make much difference in this game since you never actually see you character.
In May a dev said yes but it wouldn't be soon. No idea when to expect it.

You technically can see your character...when you look down.
You can see where this is going, I'm sure.
I'm a man and I play male characters. Tried gender bending a few times but it's just not for me. So I can sympathise with the OP finding it harder to play in a mansuit and I honestly don't think that should still be happening.
When early release games roll out with only a male character model it sends a bad message.
As eager as I am to see certain upcoming new features, I think getting at least one female character model into the game should be a higher priority.
