is there any way to play subnautica new buld with my friend

There was some sort of mod going a while ago but I don't think it worked too well. Haven't seen anyone post about it in a long time. Shame because I would love to play this with co op for a fresh experience.

this is Nitrox mod but it only works on the legacy version of the game and I'm looking for a new one

Nitrox is the only one available and there's still desync issues that they're working on. You cannot finish the game this way either.

You're probably better off waiting for Subnautica 3

The thing is... Multiplayer is NOT compatible with V2.0.

I've stopped playing the "stable" (now legacy) branch back then, when I got utterly disgusted about the fact that you get stuck in the PCF with the Prawn.
This is an issue which should not be present in a "release"-version.

So I switched to "experimental"-branch and this issue wasn't just fixed, the performance was also better.



So since the "experimental"-branch is the new stable branch (now V2.0), I switched and only use that one now.
Many mods got updated to work with BepInEx and Nautilus.
Nitrox did not got updated which is why I possibly never play it.
Quite the pitty, as the only multiplayer I like to play are coop-games.


Yet I refuse to play a version with issues I cannot stand and where no large rooms are available.
