Void base question!
Hey all, I built a base into the void and I noticed while I was building out the tunnel from the inside (safer) that the ghost leviathan spawned. Which is great, that was the goal. But once I was done building he disappeared and never came back. I traveled back and forth, reloaded the game, nothing. I’ve built out about 150m from the edge.

He seems to only appear if you're on the outside of the base or building compartments for some reason.

My question is there a way to have a base in the void to observe them without needing to go outside to attract them?

I'd hop out to spawn them then hop back in my base but he'd immediately going swimming back into the void.

I’m on Xbox btw. Thanks in advance!

I saw something ages ago about the observatory changing the biome when you're standing in it so maybe other base pieces do that too?

-Yeah it seems if I stand in an observatory they go away, but will appear and stay if I’m just in the regular compartments. Kind of defeats the purpose of having an observatory unfortunately but I’ll make the most of it. Thanks!

the regular rooms with all glass windows and glass dome work best, also just regular glass pipe tunnels have the best viewing IMO

Observatory is considered its own biome, so the game no longer thinks you're in the void. As was mentioned, a MP room with a glass dome works nearly as well.
