A "Jukebox" mod, does it exist for Subnautica?
Even though I have yet to play through Below Zero completely, I liked the idea of a Jukebox to play music discs you can find through your adventure. So I was kinda bummed when the Living Large update didn't include it for Subnautica.

Is there a mod that implements something similar?

AFAIK there is no such mod. And if you ask me, playing random music would ruin a large part of the experience in Subnautica because the sound design is just amazing in this game and it's crucial to creating the atmosphere.

TBH, I think a Jukebox would work if it just plays music in your base, so you can relax while tending to your reactors, farms, and such.

agree 100 percent
but if you spend a lot of time at the base, it can get repetitive. I liked that feature in BZ but yes, totally agree about the game design. The way they implement sound when you get to different locations is masterfully done

Yea, I agree that if you spend hours in your base, it can indeed get repetitive. I never found myself spending that much time in the base doing nothing, there is always something to do and it's not boring. And also, building your base somewhere in lost river and then hearing that distant sea dragon roar.... Just omg. The sound work in the game is a pure genius.

But most of of the time I am exploring and so I am almost never at the base. Only getting into the base or an outpost to grab food and drinks.

I tried making a playlist in iTunes (or whatever it's called now) of stuff I thought would go well with Subnautica, and play it in the background instead of the default music. It didn't really work. I think because the game music is coordinated with where you are and the different tracks blend with each other pretty well. I still like the idea though.
