Haven't unlocked that yet. I'm actually using them to find fragments (?) at the moment. Figured that was the best way to upgrade fast.
Yes, you have. It comes in automatically when you get the scanner room blueprint.
The PDA calls it a "Scanner Room HUD Chip." You'll find it in a section of your blueprints tab called "Scanner Room Upgrades."
But, "Spike" is my pet! He took up residence at my base. I feed him any boomerangs I catch. I dropped a few pieces of scrap so he has something else to play with. And if he loses any teeth chewing on it, that's more enameled glass.
And I don't even have a stasis rifle yet, so. . .
(( facepalm )) THAT'S what that does! Thanks a bunch!!
The regular one.
The one at the vehicle upgrade console.
The one in the Scanner Room (only that one produces Scanner Room Upgrades and the HUD chip for the player).
The one in the Cyclops.
- And somewhat the modification station.
This confused me either a bit back then when I started to play.
Also, releaseing about 6 home-bred Gasopods to play around just a bit above your base goes a long way toward keeping Stalkers away, or dead. It isn't perfect, but cuts down on the problem.
Nine altogether, as a matter of fact.
Stasis rifle? Swim after that bastard and knife it like a man.
that's what I thought at first.... but the grav traps are also affected by the weight of the target they caught. so the bigger are the target, the more the trap derive, and you have to replace it every x time because it went to far or to up/down. I still have one of those because it's fun and gave me access to free food for most of early game so I feel attached to it, like an old poster, but it's clearly useless now x)
build two. Put one well into each end of a Coral Tube. They will hold each other there, and hold a cloud of yummies around the tube.
And occsionally, they may be more useful...
