Subnautica is a game that deliberately puts combat very much in the background. 90% of other games focus on combat, confrontation against mobs, violence etc. Why bring that into a game that advocates the opposite mentality?
I find it pretty crazy how addicted many players are to having to hit things and fight to have fun, never understood.
Why not just build in a safe place without Leviathan? There are many potential places, even in the Lost River, and you can't hear their roar everywhere.
The Leviathan are part of the game and the ecosystem, even with the Cyclops it's very easy to dodge them, and it's part of the challenge.
In hindsight it's really a shame that the devs allowed players to attack the Leviathan, but they probably thought that some would have complained if it hadn't been possible.
So they left this possibility by making it extremely tedious to discourage people from doing it, but it wasn't enough obviously, in my opinion they just had to remove this option.
To play without threat there is the creative mode otherwise.
Players are what they want obviously np but I find it really unfortunate to choose the option to kill them
Castle, and one Sea Dragon in the Lava Lakes.
Could you pass me that slice of melon, please.
