There's three of them. The one in the lava lakes and near the thermal plant are the most annoying, so I'd recommend taking those out and leaving the other one in the ALZ if you just want to keep one alive.
Caution: Even though the HPs are not any more than a Reaper, they aren't as "easy" as either of the others.
So you didn't really need to ask us.
1: Buildings a base in peace. Because base building is one of the core ideeas of this game.
2. Going down with the cyclops (RIP if you don't realise how annoying this is) and don't want to risk it to break...... Btw, if you create one that you don't care if it get destroyed: RAM it into any leviathans (freeze it before in place!!). Nothing does more damage, aka save you a lot of time.
As a 3rd: nothing bothering you as you drill the big minerals chunks.
4th? No rush, you can explore everything without worrying if something will soon bother you (btw, if someone didn't realise, you can track them via the scanner room's search)
5: no more roah noises
I had the opposite experience. The reaper was to thin so i had issues using either the knife OR the suit (we are talking reaper in ocean, far from ground), since suit something fell off. And of course, due to smaller hit box, missing occasionally the freeze shot. This one? No issues freezing, even if in "air", can just climb on top with the suit. Using knife? If the reaper might have turned (aka lose balance), this one? I just sit on it, freeze it so it doesn't shake me off, and repeat.
Point being, for me, exactly because of it's massive hit box, this one was more easier then the other (unless you count how easily you kill other via ramping cyclops)
Btw, for anyone not aware:
Freeze any of the leviathans.... And construct platforms to trap them=)))))) (careful, if it's to small, they will pass through wall)
