He does approach things in a more scientific/analytical way rather than the casual way of SN. Eg: he tried to calculate scanner range/distribution to find and collect everything), and his naive ignorance at some things did have me gnashing my teeth a bit (he just swam up to the Aurora...)
Overall I didn't mind watching, though I'm a bit biased as I like watching his Rimworld vids.

That sounds pretty fun, I'll give it a go, thx! :D
Edit: I am a little disappointed by the first episode. He does not read anything and he cut out MASSIVE parts of the game (explosion of and first visit to the Aurora, creation of 2nd O2 tank...)
Does it get better or will it stay that way? Because if it stays that way, unfortunately this run is not for me.

I'll be honest I completely missed that the extra air tank and Aurora explosion were skipped over, but you haven't missed any thing else from there as he doesn't actually go up to the Aurora until episode 4
I'd still give episode 2 (& maybe 3) a try to see if you like it. He slows down a bit (pause in pda), and starts going through stuff a bit better but he still does everything in a very logical method.
I made it until the 4th episode and then I had to give up, unfortunately. He is just... not my type, I guess?^^
After 20 minutes it seems like her play style is exactly what I was looking for. I hope she keeps up the thorough usage of the PDA. Thanks a lot for the suggestion! :)

Also we seem to have almost similar ideas about how the player should be... (I'd add "no screaming like a toddler every two minutes because «that generates the views»"-BS)
Welonz was very watchable, Francis is quite a bit strange but was ok, that Neebs is an absolute nope for me because good god that's annoying, and I also don't get how you can't stand Lukaelplays...
Anyway, here are the ones I have watched and found watchable:
And now I go check your names out ;)
Thanks for the hint, one of the female content creators i can actually watch without having bleeding ears.
Second vote for Symbalily
Eralia is currently doing a playthrough, but she's on deployment and is very sporadic with her posts, and she very much plays her own style of game that I think some won't enjoy. But she has a phobia of deep water, so it's been fun to watch her deal with that.

Her playthrough is very odd. It seems she has to keep almost completely silent, due to neighbors or something. Tough position for a YouTube gamer to operate from.
