I have finally made the Subnautica Windows cursor! More cursors comes later!
Hello everyone! After several years of seeing people asking for the Subnautica cursor for Windows, I figured I'd finally create it.
I used the Screenpresso screenshot software which allows you to take screenshots with the cursor recorded in the image, then I used Photoshop to separate the cursor from the image and tweak the cursor by removing the few extra pixels. per pixel. So it can't be perfect since I finalized it pixel by pixel and so I give you all my work plus the cursor in a zip file so you can readjust it if necessary as you wish.

Don't hesitate to send your versions of the cursor in this thread if you have reworked them! Because I also point out that the sharpness of the cursor is not the same as on Subnautica and that I am not a Photoshop pro who knows how to create readjusted images without any loss.

To convert the final PNG image to .cur I used the website https://conversion.co where I asked the site to convert the PNG to CUR (you can also find it more easily by typing for example "Convertio PNG to CUR converter" on the Internet). The cursor had calibration problems in the first tests (the image of the cursor was not synchronized with where you wanted to click, you had to go higher or lower depending on where you wanted to click to achieve the desired action).

To resolve this calibration problem, I used the site https://www.cursor.cc then by clicking on "Import Image" I selected my final uncalibrated .cur file then once the cursor uploaded to the site , I checked the box on the right "hotspot (where the mouse clicks)" leaving as default on the site, the small circle with a cross which should be at the top left of your cursor as in the image below to indicate to the cursor that it is indeed the tip and not another part of the cursor which must be in contact with the action that we want to perform. Once done, I saved the new cursor and used it in Windows.

As a reminder, to use a custom cursor in Windows you must go to:
Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Mouse (found in the Devices and Printers category options pile in blue). Once after clicking on Mouse, Go to the “Pointers” option of the new window that has just opened then again a new window opens and in it click on Browse. After doing this, select your cursor (the one in the pack is called cursor.cur) then click Apply.

Here is the link of my cursor zip pack :). Enjoy! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ULQfch3kFeRpmKqP6EA9eM_OiAKmGU_t/view?usp=sharing
Last infos:
the "cursor.cur" file is in 24x24 pixels. I found that 16x16 was too small and 32x32 too large so I went with the middle. The cursor comes from a 1920x1080p screenshot also present in the zip pack. So you can if you want to modify the image as you wish and the cursor :)!

Other cursors will comes later, such as the Windows selection finger which will be the same color as the Subnautica cursor or the text selection "I" which will also take on the same color. This is just a first step that will improve. Don't hesitate to give me ideas for cursors to complete this pack and make it more immersive like Subnautica :)

Here is a rendered image of the cursor on an OperaGX background!
