Lifepod 4 trigger
Wiki says the trigger for Lifepod 4 signal is entering the Bulb Zone. Unfortunately, that is not true. I tested it every which way - Bulb Zone, Bulb Zone after Aurora explosion, Bulb Zone after Floating Island, etc. the damn thing just stays silent.

As said previously, two triggers for lifepod 4.

- 6 hours after you exited the lifepod and entered the Safe Shallows. It doesn't matter if you stay there or not afterward, you just have to touch the biome.
- 1 minute after you stayed 2 minutes minimum inside the Bulb Zone biome.

So just entering or not staying during two minutes won't trigger it. Contrary to the first trigger.

I don't think you should try to voluntary trigger the radio messages anyway. You'll get them all just by playing normally.

You sure you read the right Lifepod? Because most should have more than one way of triggering the recording from the radio, unless you never repaired the radio yet.

There is a delay built into the radio. It does this to space out the messages in a more natural way, and there may be other messages in the queue before the one for Lifepod 4.

There is an exploit to view all messages, however. Build a radio in a base structure, listen to the message, delete the radio, then rebuild it. This should immediately queue the next message and bypass the delay.

That radio message doesn't give you a beacon for the lifepod anyway. You still have to find it yourself.

Probably worth a mention here that the primary trigger for the LP4 radio message is 6 hours in the Safe Shallows.

You either have to work for the Bulb Zone trigger with pretty fair dedication, or have a VERY weird and convoluted (and vanishingly rare) first few hours in game, for the Bulb Zone trigger to occur first.

Also, a more or less straight forward transit INTO the Bulb Zone is likely to take you within visual distance of LP4.

Also, NOTE the Admial's post above about time delay on ALL radio messages.

6 hrs in I’ve probably been to all surface biomes.

Yeah, I probably spend less than 6 hours in Safe Shallows in an entire run, so that trigger is entirely unpractical. It probably only exists as a backup, so that the player will get the signal eventually even if they do nothing.

The Bulb Zone trigger isn't too far-fetched because Lifepod 12 is there, and you get that signal when you craft a Laser Cutter. That's normally like Day 5 for me. Except, it doesn't seem to bloody work.
