That would be very unpleasant. Your Survival is your Responsibility... that includes saving manually^^ The Game doesnt do hand holding.
i dont have a single survival game that doesnt have autosave
"my survival"? So what did the game crashed? I did not told the game nor allowed the game to crash .. keep opinions like this to yourself, its embarasing
plenty of survival games have autosave, even in permadeath/hardcore modes. you can always alt f4 to bypass save restrictions anyways.
But i stand by my Opinion. Automatic save-points, in a Survival Game where, broadly speaking, you can die at any Moment if your not careful, is a poor design choice in my Mind.
You can find Clips and Compilation videos of Games with auto-save, where this ended in a death loop, because the auto-save triggered in the worst possible Moment.
You dont want that. This actually gives you LESS control over your Situation.
There are Games, where auto-saves are useful, especially if they only trigger in story-linked moments (before a Bossfight for example).
You actually can end in a death loop in Subnautica too^^ If youre really unlucky. As you know, when we die, we get transported to the last "Base" we entered. Which also counts for the Cyclops. But if your Submarine runs out of power, in the deep sea, too far from the Surface, you have a problem. Rare, but it can happen.
If i ever play a Survival Game with auto-save, i hope i can disable it^^
Also youre incorrect ;)
"i dont have a single survival game that doesnt have autosave"
You have Subnautica.
kinda shooting yourself in the foot here. the only way to prevent savescumming in permadeath game modes is to autosave constantly. most games will have a few seconds leeway that can be abused though.
it's kinda why video recordings are the gold standard for this sort of thing.
you seem to be confusing auto saves with only having 1 save slot.
oh wait nevermind, read your other post, you actually _want_ to savescum. so much for not wanting handholding.
