Propulsion Cannon
If I already have the REpulsion cannon, is it neccesary to make also a PROpulsion cannon to clear the junk that prevents access to some areas in the wrecks?
I mean, does the REpulsion cannon do better all the things PROpulsion cannon does or they have different purposes?

Its only advantage is that it's a better defensive tool. For example, it punts Warpers about 50 meters across the map and de-spawns them, which is awesome. It's also effective against other medium-sized fauna, like Bonesharks. But otherwise, it's much less useful than the Propulsion Cannon since it can't pick up objects. Note, due to a bug, that it will cause serious issues if you accidentally hit your Cyclops with it.

The only time I ever use the Rep Cannon is if I find one in a time capsule. And even then, it's hard to justify the inventory space most times.

Honestly, I have never used the repulsion cannon. I know what it does, but it doesn't serve any real purpose in the game.

Same here... The Propulsion cannon is useful to clear blockages in the Aurora, but the Repulsion... Never needed it.

I use the propulsion cannon for clearing debris in the Aurora and for getting cave crawlers out of my way, and for picking up crystalline sulfur. I use the repulsion cannon for defense when I go to dangerous areas. I don't find that they're interchangeable.

Also, to answer the question, yes, the Propulsion Canon is necessary to clear debris to access parts in one of the wrecks. Specifically, the Underwater Islands Wreck.

Yes! Forgot to mention that.

Propulsion Cannon is basically a self defense tool until you get stasis rifle.
And even then it only works against small to medium fauna and kinda worthless against leviathans, for obvious reasons (although can still potentially save your life).
It's the closest thing you get to an actual weapon, only without damage, flare or... Anything interesting, really.
Maybe if you could, like, link it to a resource in your inventory and shoot it in a quick succession like a pistol with extra steps...

But hey, keeps the bonesharks away at least.

You can have some fun playing around with the Pop Cannon's throw abilities though. Some examples:

- Shooting resources (like a titanium piece) from your inventory can be very effective as an offensive tool. It will de-spawn Warpers and can kill most mid-sized fauna in 1-2 shots.

- If you fire any "light-weight" object, like a single piece of a resource, straight in the air while at the surface, it will stop in midair and just remain there. Not useful at all as far as I can tell, but just a point of trivia. Those resources will be detectable with a scanner room.

- You can fire the camera drones with the Prop Cannon and get some interesting views or access to places you shouldn't be able to go. For example, you can fire one onto the side of the Aurora for an aerial view. You can also fire them into the QEP, since the upper parts have no collision mesh. The drone will fall through and you can explore the area that's normally out of bounds, like below:
