Were Reefback eggs removed from spawning?

I've tried to find some but cant seem to, and on top of that, every video i find is about spawning them in using console commands.

If their Eggs were in the Game, it was in a very early Build of the Game. I cant remember ever seeing one, not even in Early Access.

Yes. The spadefish eggs actually use reefback egg model (if you pay attention - you can notice it is in fact a small reefback in that egg), and reefback egg used to be a thing, but it was removed old time ago. No idea why. Either they were buggy or people spawned nothing but reefbacks.

Wouldnt Reefback Eggs be huge? I assume that their freshly hatched Babies atleast as small as Sandsharks XD

I just wanted to make sure cause i played the game like what 4 years ago or so and reefback eggs spawned naturally. Now you gotta spawn em.

I can confirm that spadefish eggs use the reefback egg model, i got some spadefish eggs in-game.
