Based on this, my own expectations are that if nothing goes horribly wrong and the game does what players and developers expect it to, early access will be on the shorter side, maybe even less than a year. If there is sudden staff turnover, fan backlash, a need to radically change something about the game or something else unexpected, it could be quite a bit longer.
BZ probably should have stayed in EA significantly longer, given the disconnected story, handful of plot holes, janky physics, broken Snow Fox and Ice Worms, and lots of ill-conceived tech choices.
"Left early access"... Well maybe they "said" it left but in reality its ♥♥♥♥ a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game thats got way too much hype for what it is a early access game that needs development lmao.
What bug? Board the aurora or entering the alien planetary gun that shoots the rescue ship down at the start the game and sometime after that all water on the map despawns and you walk on ocean floor lol. Reloading, respawning does nothing save corrupted game broke. Ive recreated the bug several times as have others.
Weird, I've played through multiple times and never experienced that. Guess you're unlucky.
Not long ago, i saw a Thread of someone who got stuck with his Cyclops and asked the Forum how to leave the Cave-System. After trying to reach his Position, it was clear that he clipped through a Wall, so he couldnt leave.
So Clipping is THE major Problem of Subnautica and after all these Years im confident to say... that is an Engine Problem. The Dev's options are limited, when it comes to Engine errors.
Another Game that i played attempts something big.... they prepare to upgrade the Game Engine to a newer, supported Version. Exchanging the Engine of a Game, even if its within the same Engine-Family, is ALOT of work, causes alot of Bugs and Devs have to re-program chunks of the Game.
Maybe the Devs of Subnautica will attempt something similar in the Future, but i guess that makes only Sense, if its financially viable. Since Subnautica is an old Game by now, i wouldnt bet on that option^^
