How do you place bulkheads?

I've read in another topic that they go in the hallway between the rooms but it never turns green.

I haven't actually built any corridors, just the generated hallways that come with the multi-purpose rooms. I've tried inside and outside.

Here is my layout, X is multi-purpose room, o is the generated hallway, I is the hatch:

You can only build them at attachment points for normal corridors. So if you want to have bulkheads between two large rooms, you need to build a regular corridor inbetween.

Thank you. How do I strenthen my base overall? I keep having breaches, but only in my large aquarium room. I have 2 creep vines which I can't seem to do anything with in there.

Is there a way to harvest them at all? Can you make the aquarium two stories so they can grow?

I can't seem to figure that out.

Bulkheads, foundations and hull reinforcements will all add strength to the base.

And yes, you can build multiple story aquariums. I believe creepvines will grow up to 3-4 stories tall.

Is it possible to attach bulkheads to land bases? I tried doing this on the floating island, yet they wouldn't place.

Yes it is. They work the same way regardless of where you build. However, bulkheads are NOT hatches (even Below Zero, hatches that look like bulkheads are still built as hatches).
