Removing plants from planters?
I have some unwanted plants in various planters, is there a way to remove them. I know you can remove smaller ones that give you seeds but what about larger ones?

I Think you can hack them away with a knife takes alot of swings (works with the tiger plants)

Really? I've been wondering the same thing. Hacking gets seeds, but I wasn't aware that if you hacked ENOUGH you could get it to go away.

If I go hack a plant for a few thousand swings and nothing happens, my ghost will haunt you, Hungrybox! ^_^

Or just dismantle the planter?

That's the way I've been doing it, but you've got to make sure you have seeds of all the other plants you want to keep, then you have to replant them and wait for them to grow. That's a lot of trouble just to pull up a plant or two!

I think it would be a good idea to just use individual plant pots instead of interior growbeds. That way, you can simply deconstruct the pot to destroy the plant inside, without having to destroy other plants you're growing.

Yeah but if you don't deconstruct then you might have to deal with the UI bug and... Screw that I've got lockers full of seeds because of that. I mean it's just way easier, plus it grows super fast.

Something to be said for the small ones yes, and on top of that they're easier to deal with in terms of navigating your base.
I remember cutting off plants in the large aquarium but when i tried accessing the planter afterwards, it wouldn't show up. I had to restart my game every time i wanted to use it.

That's the UI bug I was talking about. If you slash, you'll lose the UI for that planter, until you restart the game. UWE is aware of that BTW.

But it's annoying in large aquariums as you can't back away from it far enough to make it go out.

According to the changelog, they fixed that problem in experimental. Haven't checked in game yet to verify it.
