Remove Titanium from Limestone Outcroppings[SUGGESTION]
No. I mean, really. Why would I want these outcroppings to give me a measly piece of titanium when it's so, SO easy to get tons of titanium from scanning unneeded fragments and collecting some of the zillions of metal salvage all over the place? That goes double now that Cyclops Hull Fragments literally rain down from the sky.

It seems like a waste, really. To scour the area for limestone, and only get the precious copper every third piece of limestone. Maybe have it commonly be copper, and have a rare chance to drop silver, or something like that?

Agreed and also, you don't find titanium in limestone naturally. I'll leave this here: "Titanium is not found freely in nature, but is found in minerals such as rutile (titanium oxide), ilmenite (iron titanium oxide) and sphene (titanite or calcium titanium silicate)."

Do the limestones respawn or something? I'm worried about running out of copper.

First off the game does say the strange geological forces that created them are not known. Second I think the drop rate should be adjusted based on the other sources of titanium (wreck and frag) so that copper is more common in say Safe Shallows then Aurora Crash Site.

This isn't on Earth though, so that's not really applicable.

I always just figured the PDA scans and just automatically translates the chunk as "Limestone" since it's the closest matching thing in its database, even though it's not actually Limestone since it's an alien planet with its own unique geology.

All in all though, it is just a video game so looking that hard on things on both of our ends is pretty pointless in general! :steammocking:

On topic, I don't mind all the Titanium. At first you'll find it useless but if you ever build large and/or multiple bases, believe me, every little piece helps a lot.

I'm all for making Copper the more common drop from them though.

I think sandstone/silver should be more common too

It's kind of sad when gold and diamond are easier to get than silver

I hate all the gold I have. I stopped picking it up a long time ago.

King Midas envies me at this point.

Yeah just started to the goldpile. They either need to tone it down or make it more useful.

Let's build a giant gold vault and hopefully tempt Space Dwarves to come rescue us! :steammocking:

well sometimes the titanium in limestone can be a life saver, if you are a couple short for a fabricator in a base say, in deeper parts where there isnt any wreckage

Given that we need cooper to make batteries, power cells and wire, the amount of cooper is a worry..

Yeah, i think the problem is, is that there isn't much use for it, i think i collected about 130 before the patch...

Like Titanium, you should be able to turn most stuff into ingots, but also be able to turn it back into single units.
