I may have to build more rooms. I have one tower going to the surface. May have to start another.
I did that. I put some plants into it too. Still haven't found farming stuff yet, but I was hoping I might get plant food as well. The plants are just starting to grow.
I have a bunch of peepers and airsacks in my double aquarium. Looks like it goes beyond 10 when you stack.
I am getting concerned about adding agressive fish from eggs. Will they kill all my fish? should I place them in a seperate tank?
Don't know Tenzek. As far as I know you start with a few, but have to scan the rest. Can't remember what all I started with though.
I think I read somewhere that you get everything in creative mode. But I haven't tried it.
also, i can confirm that hatching predators in your aquarium makes them totally docile, both to your other fish and yourself... at least while they are in the aquarium. if you move them outside they become full sized and revert to their normal agressive levels.
i had the large aquarium blueprint from the start of the game in my most recent survival game. it is likely that they will eventually move it to fragments and make you find it like they have done with most everything else. thats ok though. its kind of the whole point of the game afterall... finding the blueprints to build stuff.
As far as I know, plants do not affect fish populations capacity/limits. I got a double high Alien Containment with like 20 fish in it (Air Bladders, Peepers and Reginalds), along with a pair of full grown Creepvines and a few acid mushrooms.
When you make a post, you can edit it later on. Mouse over your posts, in the upper right are a few icons that will appear, one looks like a pencil and should have a tooltip of 'edit'.
An alien containment needs to be 2 tall minimum, for planted creepvine seeds to grow right (and you plant the seeds. planting the vine will not give seeds).
Sadly, you can not plant standard or shelf coral to help with disinfected water or computer chip ingredients.
You CAN plant acid shrooms, but that's a risk putting them inside. later you can get "Growbeds" which will let you plant those outside.
The population limit is supposed to be 10 per floor. things SHOULD be fine unless you manually overpopulate, but EA game, it can get buggy.
For example, I keep wall lockers stuffed with spare live fish just in case now.
Example 1: My first two story tank was a mix of reginalds and airssacks. Grab some of each to top off my food/water, save game.
Load game later, the entire tank is now Reginalds...
Example 2: Now I have seperated my reginalds and airsacks into their own two story containments (with a bioreactor between them). grab some of each, top off my food and water, save game.
Load game later, half my reginalds are dead. And my airsack tank was 17 dead, 2 live (so 19 total, which is below the 20 count limit of a two story tank).
It's the vicious cycle. If he hadn't necroed, someone would probably have told him "Use the search function" for making a new thread.
