Does blood oil make sense?
You need the deep pressure suit to swim down there, but you can't get the ingredients for the deep pressure suit unless you swim down there... what am I missing?

Seamoth and depth upgrade modules

You can also do it with 4 upgraded air tanks and an un-upgraded seamoth. Only have to grab a few blood oil after all.

"deep pressure suit"? You mean the Reinforced Dive Suit? If so, that's just a 50% damage reduction vs physical damage - doesn't affect how deep you can dive, unless that's something new.

Oxygen pipes when you got no vehicles. dont have to put them to the ground, but it is cool to have a refreshment station in minus 250 meter, when you work at minus 400 without vehicles.

put a beacon on it and enjoy. it is even more fun than vehicles. real arcade diving simulation. XD

It makes sense now! The reinforced suit does not help you dive deep. This game does not hold the hand, does it?
Khanwolf Feb 24, 2016 @ 6:08pm
the reinforced dive suit is just an armor bonus against alien attacks.

the item you are looking for is the "Rebreather". Tran_fors explained this in detail. this game is hardcore. you got to break limits to find blueprints. with the help of those blueprints you can break further limits.

it is no practical item anyway, since there is a suit which lets you drink your sweat and urine like in the old Dune movies; or you can go for the radiation suit which makes you just look cool. which is not relevant, because your shadow still wont wear the absolutely gorgeous mask.

everyone here is playing totally different. (i dont like guides for this reason.) choose your strategy and collect´em all. (the fragments)... it can be a cakewalk with you as the perfectly adapted ocean overlord or a trip into the abyss with no return...

the reinforced dive suit is... the only way to survive a Levi attack. (not confirmed, not tested, just my imagination.) cant think of a different reason for it, everything else in the ocean out there does no real damage.

Truthfully pipes shouldnt work that deep in the ocean considering human lungs just are not strong enough to inhale. Furthermore pipes become useless after two or three meters. The only reason diving works is because of the assistance from retreaters and pressurized air tanks

yes, but in this arcade diving game they work great. it is not real-world or science related anyway.

CONFIRMED: i tested the reinforced diving suit on the Levi, it made 40% damage. and it is really blind, i had to pop into it to get bitten. so the reinforced diving suit is the item to have NO Game Over when the Levi hunts you down. this is the only purpose. (because There is no difference if a Biter or Shocker damages you for 7% or 3%, you will heal yourself with Medkits anyway.)

But the Suit is a real difference with the Reaper. No Game Over. (interesting discussion, i would have never tested it without it, so i say thanks.)

Meh, surviving a levi attack isn't really a good reason for the reinforced dive suit. It's easy enough to avoid/evade levis, especially once you get geared up. The only reason I would use the reinforced dive suit is to survive longer in areas I know I could get easily killed at without access to a shelter/submarine, such as the grassy plateaus. Damn biters!
Khanwolf Feb 24, 2016 @ 9:28pm
everyone got to decide for themselves. all the little ones under the levi are really no problem. you will get used to their attack screams, the excellent audio will show you the direction of the incoming harm and you will avoid damage by movement or tools. sidestrafing or swimming backwards... or even a gravsphere... make some encounters really a bit boring.

the suit is an item for hardcore players only. it is bad to loose the one and only Save File by a Levi on instant. (well he is blind now, i hope they change it with the coming update. aggro range 15 meters. i knew him with 100 meters sight when he was implemented. as you saw him, you were dead! july 2015.)

small things are annoying and keep up the tension, but i wouldnt call them danger, medkits are not rare items. the difference between 7% and 3% damage is not really big. a Biter can harvest your flesh 14 times before you die without the suit. 14 times, man. never saw more than 4 together. the gravsphere can hold 6. someone should also test flares on the blind Biters in the abyssal depths like we do it on sharks. too much tools.

it really depends on your view on this game and the stats. (dont confuse personal fear with stats), but why not carry protection. if it makes you feel safer, go for it. statwise it is just an item for the hardcore players and not worth using, when you can drink your purified Urine and Sweat (omg) in the other suit, which will grant you a big time bonus you would spend with crafting water otherwise.

always look at the stats, emotions are just emotions. annoying things with 7% damage are no danger, but a Levi ripping 100% health out of you in just one attack is more than bad for people with just one life in hardcore! the levi will return, 15 meter aggro radius cannot be the last word in development.
