Easier way to find blueprints / fragments?
Hey there!

Is there a clever way to find and scan the blueprints/fragments? Or do I find them just by luck? Totally clueless.

The wikia can tell you which biomes hold which fragments, so you can search for a spesific biome instead of searching at random. If you cheat a little, and cross reference with a map from the same wiki, you can find them pretty reliably. The only ones i had problems with was floodlights, becouse some of the aurora wrecks hidden around either dont have secret rooms or are oriented in such a way the its secret room becomes inaccessible.

That wont be a problem for long though, i think i saw the card marked as "done" on trello, which will make wrecks more modular. I assume this is to give the engine more options to spawn wrecks in different orientations, avoiding the bug i mentioned.

If in experimental branch, they are all gone for the time being.

Innacurate. Many of the blueprints that were previously granted at game start are now only to be found on the seafloor.

I really wish there was some sort of tool to help track these, maybe giving the seaglide's map display some better function.

Something is always missing. ;) My beloved game the long dark misses a compas so I am glad it is here. I also found a seamoth fragment in a grotto. Will search harder for them. :) But thanks to all!

I'm getting bored with scanning seamoth fragments and fragments for other tech which I have already obtained.

I too hate that. I would welcome it if it blueprints you've already acquired just despawned rather than gave you 2 titanium for scanning them. At least they could turn a different color, anything to distinguish them from ones that haven't been collected yet.

I build my first seamoth and I am happy. :parts:

I also love The long dark but can not understand why you need a compass in that game, same reason I never use it in this game either I guess...

Learn the terrain, a lot harder in this game granted but that is why we have beacons! :P

I played TLD so often, I don't need one anymore :happypirate:

I know every map like the back of my hand as well.

People complain about wolves, I see them as free meat and fur! :P

Have to love the Long Dark: the only game where wolves are a key component that has a splash screen explicitly stating that the wolves don't act like actual wolves due to the number of complaints about it.

But seriously: Long Dark needs proper wolf behaviors.

Where are they? I tried looking yesterday and didn't find a single thing.

Just look carefully and take your time, but I found the 5th of 5 for the seamoth far outside the lifepod

Subnautica Wrecks, Lifepods, and Blueprint Fragments
As of Experimental Build 30892

Notes

1) Wrecks listed in approximate order of difficulty (depth) not numerical order.
2) You may have to begin a new game to see these fragments. Older save games,
whether stable or experimental, may not be completely updated automatically.
3) Blueprint fragments are semi-randomly generated. A wreck will tend to have
fragments of specific types, and will tend to include ones for blueprints
you have not already completed, but exact types and quantities will vary
from one game to the next. There can even be no fragments at all.
4) Fragments *may* respawn eventually, players have reported mixed results.
5) A laser cutter is required to reach some rooms in wrecks, primarily those
beyond Safe Shallows. Sometimes an alternate path will reach blocked rooms.
6) A light source such a flare or flashlight is very useful to spot fragments.
7) Fragments for furnishings and lights are not listed, they can be found in
many different wrecks.
8) Sometimes fragments can be found on the sea floor near or under the wreck.
9) Sometimes supply chests can be found around the wreck or lifepod.

Idk how it is on experimental, but on stable it has become compareably easy to find all those necessary Blue Prints.
