The route through the Aurora is even signposted. Simply follow the signs to the drive centre.
The entrance on the Aurora is the lower of the two.
You can also get there through the upper one, but then you have to work your way through the whole ship.
And if you mean the radiation protection, you will automatically receive the blueprint for the radiation protection suit as soon as radiation is registered for the first time. You just have to make it at the fabricator and put it on - although I think this is also done automatically.
I think the propulsion cannon is nw required. In older versions it was possible to jump over some boxes to go through, but either I got really bad at it or it was fixed in a patch since then.
Tools separate man from beast... after all.
Your next task, once you've successfully saved all those lifeforms from radiation, is to single-handedly kill off every single aquatic life form on planet 4546B, with the same set of tools you used to save them.
It's practically your obligation - you've contaminated the whole planet with your arrival... pretty sure it was you anyway... gotta fix your mess.
It can still be jumped over...sometimes. Just did it last run. Forgot the propulsion cannon since I stocked up on fire extinguishers instead. Didn't need to put out the fires, just wanted to.
