How do I get back to the arch

I've spent an eighth of my playthrough wandering around on the floating island and I cannot for the life of me just find the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ arch

no I'm on the floating island, I got here from a portal on the mountain island, im trying to get back to the portal on the floating island to return back to the mountain island

It's a huge pain to find because it's very easy to miss. Easiest way is this. Go to the pool in the middle of the island, right where the PDA originally leads you to. From that pool, take the path that goes directly north. The path will bend north-east while you're in the cave. When you're out of the cave, make a right and head southeast along the path. Follow that path until you hit some Grub Baskets (yellow plants). The arch is close to here now, but it's still easy to miss. Face east and follow the path again until it starts to dip downhill. This is where you want to make a right and head off the path until you hit the rock wall, then hug the wall as you walk south. This should take you to the cave leading to the arch.

Those directions may seem complicated, but it's only about 20 seconds from the pool. The arch cave isn't on any path and is in the shadows of trees, so you'll need to really look out for it.

Oh God, I drove myself crazy looking for that blasted cave. Took me about four playthroughs to learn the geography of that island well enough. But Admiral's directions are good.

Luckily I have always found the easy way. That is, from the signaling buoy, I headed straight towards the indicator. Arrived on a cliff, there is a small and narrow climb. Once you reach the top, there are various roads, but...immediately on the left is the portal cave. I placed the base in a half-bugged point and I'm fine XD

If you're going to be using that cave often, you can mark the path using the Light Sticks. Unlike beacons, these can be placed on the ground and serve as nice markers, especially at night.
