Performance Booster Mod
I've just released a mod that can double the frame rate of Subnautica in certain cases. Give it a try to see if it helps. https://www.nexusmods.com/subnautica/mods/389

Thank you for the hardwork. I will give it a try once I am free to do so.

OMG I've been playing this game since before it came out of early access and am on a 3rd graphics card since then (R9 280X, RX 580, now Geforce GTX 1070) and I have never been able to play it with frame rates like that! I need to check frame rates but they are definitely a lot higher! It may cause the Aurora to look weird if you are far from it since the mod limits the draw distance by default.

Yeah the improvement can be significant. I was getting 40fps on the island when looking in the direction of the abandoned base and now it's closer to 80fps with just the processor affinity tweak. If you want just the affinity tweak, push all the distance sliders in the Graphics option to the maximum.

I wonder if this works with all Unity games.

The affinity just overrides hyperthreading, iirc? I just bought a 9700k 8-core/8-thread CPU for X-mas for myself. My FPS doubled in Cities Skylines. I had an AMD Ryzen 1600 6-core, 12-thread CPU before. No workshop at all.

I thought it was the new patch, but maybe it was the new CPU?

I was getting roughly 90 fps. (I have a 144 FPS monitor) I have an AMD Vega 64 GPU (Roughly nvidia GTX 1070 - GTX 1080)

I will try the mod tomorrow and see if it makes even better FPS.
