Mobile Vehicle Bay not unfolding?

so i let go of the Mobile Vehicle Bay but its just floating on the surface and the only option i have is to pick it back up.

This answer should be stickied before the bug is fixed. Subnautica gets a LOT better after building the seamoth and being unable to use the bay is a pain in the ass.
