How to respawn resources and animals in 7 easy steps.
Did some messing about with my save games today and can confirm that this does respawn fish and resources. Still investigating if all 3 deletes are required or if there is only one specific file that needs to go.
1. While playing your game hit F1 to bring up the debug console.
2. Take note of the Camera Batch Numbers.
3. Go to your save game directory - [steam location]steamapps\common\Subnautica\SNAppData\SavedGames\slot0000 for first save for example.
4. Delete the file batch-objects-X-Y-Z.txt where X,Y,Z are the 3 numbers from Camera Batch number.
5. In subdirectory CellsCache delete baked-batch-cells-X-Y-Z.bin
6. In subdirectory CompiledOctreesCache delete combiled-batch-X-Y-Z.bin.optoctrees
7. Reload game and gasp as fish and resources are randomly generated.
Things to note :
1. The resources and fishes etc are random, no guarantee of what you will get.
2. If you do this to the chunk your base is in, say goodbye to your base.
3. Not sure what will happen in relation to the power generator tunnel after the explosion, it might disappear.
