Search and ye shall find. Has been discussed many a time on this forum. Go find the large Fungus Tree areas and use your knife to cut one of the "branches" into pieces. They can be found next to the Koosh Zone for instance. Where is the Koosh zone? Near the Aurora.

Be aware though that some of them just can't be cut because of reasons.

I finlla found a shroom forest and got the samples it was deep about 120 - 150 meters

can you grow the shroom trees in an alien containment? I wasn't able to find any plantable items from them.

I don't think so. They're more like coral than flora.
