Neptune Launch Platform Keeps Hurting Me When i Walk On IT.
So, i built the launch platform today because it's cheap but this time when i climbed on board my guy put his hands up and it started hurting him. I glitched through the platform into the water, healed and climbed back on only for it to kill me immediately, what's going on here, ive never encounter a bug like this.

It's definitely a bug, but I've never heard of it before, I imagine it's some kind of clipping issue since that seems to be the root cause of most of the bugs in the game. So standard questions: Are you playing with mods? Did you try reloading the game?

No mods and haven't tried to reload yet.

Just booted the game up, no glitch so it's fine now.

So problem 'solved' though we may never know what caused it or how to keep it from happening again. If this is a known issue then I'm sure someone here will know about it. I guess it's too late for this advice since you seem to be in that last stages of the game, but save often and quit without saving when something odd happens. That's best way to protect yourself from this kind of issue.

Platform was probably moving for some reason, which was causing collision damage. Definitely a bug, like the one with the Cyclops, but glad to hear that a reload fixed it.

Way late to the party but I just got this glitch. In my hardcore play through. Which I'm finally coming to the end of. I immediately jumped off, healed, went inside my base, and quit the game. I haven't reopened because it's bedtime anyway, but I stg if a glitch perma-kills me at this point in the game, I will break something. And then probably cry. A lot.

Make a backup of your save file if you're really worried about that.

Discovered this bug today as well but only when I boarded the platform from a side ladder. Luckily, my cat-like reflexes saved me by immediately diving back into the water, lol. Using the ladder directly behind the terminal doesn't seem to cause damage.

I can also verify this bug as I completed a play through yesterday (07/31/24).
I only survived due to carrying a unhealthy amount of healing packs at all times. :peeperfish:

As as discovered in the post above, my solution was to jump off the platform to the water,
and then use the closest stairs to the whichever terminal/side that I wanted to use...

Annoying, but it worked fine.
