UNABLE TO SCAN GRAPPLE ARM FOR PRAWL

I was doing it whole day. On youtube found some videos, where they show where to find and scan them. I found two od them, also found fragments of that grapple arm, but I cant scan them. When I aim on it, the scanner stays inactive. Happened that to somebody of you and if so, what to do with that stupid problem? And, are the arms essential to finish the story mode? Thanx.

Is it possible you need a new battery in your scanner?

Definitelly not. I control the battery level, when I go somewhere. And, except of that, other things, often previously scanned, are active (after scanning two titans). So, battery cant be the problem :(

Sometimes saving and reloading will work, might not have loaded the collision mesh.

So what do you suggest? To find wreck with those, save, try to find them and if it will not work, to load and try to scan again...? Isnt that devs problem...?

Sorta but it's more of Unity being a janky engine than anything. Yes, I would suggest that but there's a lot of parts everywhere so while it sucks that you can't get it right away, you can just look for it somewhere else if you don't want to save and reload.

So, I triied today once again and with the same results :(. I found two wrecks, inside were two pairs of grapping arms, but still cannot scan them :(. Are there any anothers options what to do please?

Are you sure it's a grappling arm? The default arm is there too and isn't scannable.

Well, Im not sure absolutely, but I think it should be that, looks the same like in youtube vids. Ill try to make pic in few hours and send here. But I couldnt scan nothing like that in 2 or 3 wrecks, where other players (youtubers) found them

My money is on what Ignis said. You're probably trying to scan a standard Prawn arm. Does is have drills for hands? Or Holes for hands? Or hands for hands?

They can spawn in and around a bunch of different wrecks so maybe you're just unlucky with finding them.

So I found on the U shaped wrecked those... Lighted by seaglide, but scanner still nothing...

Those aren't grapple arms, those are just the regular arm pieces. They can no longer be scanned.

LIkely just arms you have. Some of them look pretty close. I made the same mistake for a minute lol.

Guys, all you were right. One momenr before I found another wreck with some another arms and that was them! Scanner made its work and now I´m gonna to make them. So, result of this topic is: NOT A BUG, BUT JUST BETTER LOOK IN WRECKS. As it looks, they can be spawned in more wrecks in the game :) Thanx for your support.
