Questions about the coop mod
Have you guys used the coop mod?
Could you describe the limitations or problems and pros?

I imagine you see the other person for which they must have made animations, do they work well or does it break the immersion?

What are you talking about? They planned co-op for this game but they scrapped it because they wanted to get the game out faster.

There is only one coop mod or several? Could you recommend one and tips if necessary?

I just got the game myself recently and asked the same thing 3 days ago. Only 1 guy replied so I didn't get no helpful answers. I only know of the one co-op mod. Here's a Reddit thread about it.

They did not "plan" coop for this game. They considered it in the very early stages, when they were framing the concept of the project. Apparently they did a few experiments. They decided it did not fit well with the story they wanted to tell.

Consideration of a coop format or option was long gone before there was ever even the earliest of early access.

Raft solved this very good. Both players share all the achievments, new recipes, in this case same radio messages.

I found only Nitrox coop mod for Subnautica. It does often cause annoying synchronisation errors.. You can play with it, but must accept several bugs. We decided to stop playing with Nitrox (2nd time).

From my experience, only solar power avoids desync issues, which limits where and how deep you can build your base. You also can't build your base too big because the bigger it is, the more likely it will glitch out and erase parts of it (my whole base in one instance). Even when powered, the non-host may have the base show as non-powered (aka no O2), even when it is, meaning they have to race for the surface or a vehicle. Vehicles can also disappear when players enter them. There are probably others that I'm forgetting.
