Cant find cyclops thermal reactor

I read in a guide that the reactor could be found in nw mushroom forest. I have scoured the mushroom forest and mountains and saw no sign of the reactor. ....help?

You need to go NW

The best solution really is to place scanner room in forest, expand scan range and give it some time. Game is knows for bugs, loading issues, textures flickering, items falling through geometry etc.

Have you specifically searched both outside AND inside those particular kinds of spots where Databoxes are commonly found? You know, spots that commonly have concentrations of Alterra tech.

And if you are frustrated enough to want a blatant cheat:
Search inside the hunks of wreck, man. Thoroughly.
There can also be one at the more difficult of the two Grand Reef wrecks. The NorthWEST Mushroom Forest wreck, the one up in the tree, is your best bet.

The blueprint is in one of three possible Databoxes.
None of those glitch effects are going to happen to it, as it is a specifically placed asset.

Thanks for the advice. Have searched both Grand reef wrecks...no luck...will try the scanner room.

It's not going to be found in the biome itself, it's going to be found inside a databox within one of the wrecks.

The specific wrecks are:
- Large wreck in the Mountains (note that this wreck has two entrances, so search both sections)
- NW Mushroom Forest wreck
- The far wreck in the Grand Reef near the Seatrader Path (i.e. not the one near the Kelp Forest)

Not sure if you have considered modding, but the map mod for SN is AMAZING for this. It records any wrecks and/or major locations you swim by but doesn't spoiler anything except biome boundaries if you happen to toggle that on.
